On Saturday July 28th, the second annual SeaFair steamup and parade party was held at the Urban Railroad. Hosted by Mike and Carlanne (and Andre, the TopDawg), members of the livesteam SIG (PSGRS), numerous other residents of the building and guests were treated to the newest itineration of the Urban Railroad, its garden and lots of good food and fun. The steamup started at 1:00PM with early arrivals of Jim O, Curt, Dave and Carol S. with the rest showing up quickly thereafter. Hot dogs, beans, chips, peanuts, fresh fruit and more were on the menu plan. Many strong and sturdy folks managed to endure the afternoon all the way through to the Seafair fun run and finally at about 7:30PM, the SeaFair Parade. Viewing from the 65 feet of 4th Avenue frontage was outstanding, with everyone enjoying the Alaska Air flight attendants, the large SeaFair blowup pirate, the many floats, vehicles and bands. Evening foods included fresh salads, fruits, pulled pork sandwiches and cheesecake/candies/cookies.
About 25 people turned out for the event and a few photos were taken by guests. If anyone has other photos they would like added, please send to Mike or Carlanne. These were taken by Stuart/Helene Buchan:
